ACADEMIC TASK COMMITMENT AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT THE INTER CHARACTERISTICS OF ACADEMIC OUTCOMES

This research paper is an attempt to understandcommitment and achievement which are very important in predicting individual group success any endeavor. Research has shown that commitment invariably a major impact on behavioral outcomes connected task performance. Task performance leads crucial personality factorslike self-esteem, self-concept, emotional intelligence other constructs. Environmental social factors also the contributing commitment-achievement interplay.This studies academic vis-a-vis performance/achievement of high school students select schools Bangalore-India, belonging three different boardsnamely Central Board Secondary Education , Indian Council Karnataka State Board, each havingunique syllabus board examination. Gender socio economic have been considered study. The results reveal rejection null hypothesis states there was no significant relationship between Academic Achievement among children. study found difference Commitment boys girls due gender. Further, amongboys Finally, status significance children accepted.Data analysis throws light possible interplay constructs can be factored for designing interventions with more detailed implications.
